![]() This award is presented annually to a student entering the 2nd year of the program, who has been an Ontario resident for a minimum of 12 months and meets the requirements of financial need and academic performance. ![]() Alison Smit was the key driver who developed the program, a Past Chair of the CINDE Ontario Chapter, an alumni of Mohawk College and the Training Coordinator for CINDE from 2001 until 2005. ![]() Through the diligent efforts of Alison Smit, a partnership between CINDE and Mohawk College resulted in the Mohawk College Quality Engineering Technician - Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) full-time day program being launched in 2006. Nominees must have at least 10 years membership in CINDE, with 5 continuous years of membership immediately prior to the nomination. Past RecipientsĮstablished in 1983, this award is given to a CINDE member who has made continuous and significant contributions to the advancement of NDT / NDE in the scientific, technical, educational, managerial or related areas. Recipients will receive a life-time membership with CINDE. Contributions may be in any area including technical, educational or managerial capacities. It is given to a member of CINDE who has made outstanding contribution towards NDT in Canada. Havercroft who was widely recognized as a pioneer in the field of NDT in Canada.
